Me and @TheNomers enjoying a winter day downtown Greenville.

Greenville, South Carolina is really quite an amazing place yet it seems like we have somewhat of an unknown treasure here. While I was in Florida in the recent weeks I got many comments on when I mentioned to where I moved to as being South Carolina. Many people replied sarcastically with “Oh, im sorry..” or “Do you have running water there?”which is quite funny since the area I come from in Florida the people seem much more backwoods than I have ever met here. People generally seem happy here, as compared to the daily misery I faced in Florida as many people seem very unhappy with their lives there.

I love my new home, even though I currently am still unemployed and wish I could move out of apartment life (Anyone have a cool rental house? We are looking!) I am happier than I ever was in Florida and can really see a future here, one that I have been searching for my whole life.

Today, I heard a comment about Mr. D and I that just cracked me up. “You two are like Greenville’s Posh and Becks. No wait…more like “Goth and Becks” “! I guess I will be staying in Greenville for quite awhile now if I have that royal status. *rolls eyes*

Recently, Greenville, South Carolina was featured on Good Morning America. Further supporting my choice to move here was a right one. Check out this article and video!

Good Morning America Thinks Greenville Rocks.

Reasons Why I Think That Greenville Rocks (from a list of thousands)

Why Greenville Locals Love Living Here!

@AngeleasterlingGreenville rocks because I can actually make my living playing music and have a nice life here on not a lot of money, it is a very reasonable driving distance from all the places I need to go!”

@BoydMer “I love downtown/main street/west end- it is so quaint and I love being able to walk to all the great bars/restaurants”

@PresslyM “Falls Park! Not every city has an urban waterfall, fewer have such a unique bridge.”

@FamousNtoB
Greenville is the mecca for fun, art, shopping, restaurants, and cool atmosphere in South Carolina next to Charleston!”

@HMerkle “Diversity! Diversity in people, places and things! The proof? I always talk about the great minds in Greenville. Our proximity to the mountains and the ocean and if you want to do something – in Greenville you can do anything!

@ThatNeilGuyWeather. Greenville has distinct seasons but none are too harsh”

@LadyPentel “One reason I am moving to Greenville is it is a great mix of “Old South” infused with new energy.”

@TechherdingGreenville never rocked until it had Miss Destructo. It was just a pile of yams.”

Why do you enjoy Greenville?
