Would You Want A Different Life?

I have such a passion for understanding human nature and I love listening to people and telling them about my crazy days or trying to make my trip to Wal-Mart sound amusing, even when we both know that its not at the least bit amusing whatsoever. I was thinking the other day how much I love my life and all the things I have that make it wonderful. Life may be characterized by material means, but when it all boils down to one big answer, my life has so much more meaning. It’s been a long, strange and sometimes painful journey but it makes me look forward to the future, for I do not know what I will be doing, but I do know something, it will be great, and I will love every moment of it.

All the beauty in this world, all the different people, all the wonderful things, and people that have touched my heart and soul, and how many more people I will meet in my lifetime, which is going to be a long time.. Things have been great this year so far, and I know it will continue this way. Some of my friends say it is just a luck streak, I think not, for I have worked very hard to get to where I am today, and having that is the best feeling in the world, better than succeeding the first time. Take risks and follow your dreams, even if you are living off of yams for awhile there is brighter skies ahead if you work hard. Don’t get frustrated if things don’t come to you as fast as you would like, I am still unemployed but seeing opportunities come at me everyday. Because I got out there and let people know who I am and that I am much more than just the blue hair.

While everyone is always too busy trying to change the world, I stop for a minute, look around and see that it is much greater to just live at my own pace. I see all these people day to day working themselves to the brink of death. For what? These people will never have peace until they breathe their last breaths, you can’t take your money with you. Of course I am not saying be a lazy vagabond or anything, just enjoy yourself and your life while you can. It’s all yours good or bad, you can do ANYTHING.

corny as it may sound, but this post seemed part buddhist and part "Most of the shadows of this life are caused by our standing in our own sunshine."

and I very much enjoyed it. kudos

  3. GREAT post hon. If you aren't having fun and spreading vibes of awsomeosity you're doing it wrong for sure!

I go at it from a regret prevention angle. I don't want to be bummed I didn't "try" more stuff, and will never be bummed I didn't spend more time cleaning etc. Being a vagabond ain't all bad either. :)

i couldn't agree with you more. One of the best quotes i've ever heard that sums up my life perfectly is that "the past is the past. the future hasn't been written. today is a gift. thats why it's called the "present". It might be kinda corny but I think it's so true to how if you work hard everyday and live each day to the fullest then everything will work out in the future. And the movie that it's from is sooooo random that I will buy you a can of yams if you can guess it. (it's not an exact quote so Google won't help)

And if everybody would do this, it would change the world. :)
