Miss Destructo

Being six feet tall, finding pants and cute jeans are sometimes out of the question. I know I can always turn to a trusty pair of leggings and tights to turn an outfit into something a little more non-casual and up the sexy level. Lately, leggings have been a HUGE trend which turns me into a kid in a candy store. I usually love having a pair of “Little black leggings” that I can use with a basic long tunic or shirt dress, but the latest favorites of mine lately have been the mirrors and mesh Christopher Kane knockoff’s I found and my vinyl panel sided or “cop leggings” as Mr. D calls them. A bit of a collector, I have at least four drawers for just my hosiery. I love the classic pinstriped look as well with a short little black dress for that classy Audrey Hepburn look. Don’t even get me started on mesh leggings, I can’t have enough black mesh… dresses, leggings, shoes… it’s my favorite material.

However, I love playing with color and I have been searching for blue fishnet leggings since I started the blue coiffed look, the ones I found were either sparkly or in the kids dept. That’s when We Love Colors came to my rescue, I wrote them about my search and they sent me a few different types of fishnets to try out since they specialize in EVERY color you can think of. The one’s in the top picture are a laced top thigh high in Royal Blue and the bottom photo are Medium Blue wide net fishnets. They are the nice type that don’t snag on everything, I can’t count how many times my nails or sitting on a splintery stage and hearing that painful sound of a $50 pair of Victoria’s Secret’s fishnets tearing. Also at around $10 a pair, you can dance the night away without too much worry.

Thanks to We Love Colors for saving the day. You can follow We Love Colors on Twitter and Facebook. Tell em Miss Destructo sent ya!

Put this on your face!

When I went to Germany I asked a woman in her mid 40’s with PERFECT skin how she stayed so young? She told me about Nivea Creme and the Aspirin Mask and I have never went back to anything again.

Your probably like err… Destructo… Aspirin… Really? It’s primarily Salicylic Acid which is used in a gazillion face products especially those for acne. So this not only is the ultimate exfoliater but takes the redness and decreases spots.  Also awesome for guys before shaving!  You can get a huge bottle of this anywhere for under a dollar… just make sure you get the non-coated, they dissolve much quicker.

I get asked all the time about the Klaus Nomi painting that I have in Destructo HQ. It was a birthday gift from a very special gal I know by the name of RazorCandi. Tampa Bay native Kym a.k.a Razorcandi, has been an inspiration to many and to myself as well. Her style is incredibly versatile, and can go from an elegant Annie Lennox esque pose to an alieneque diva to a death rock mohawk in less than 24 hours. Following her heart, she moved a few years ago to Romania (wow!) and since then she’s become an international alternative model featured in magazine such as Bizzare and Gothic Magazine and she’s also quite the artist as well. I recently got to ask her a few questions…

Miss Destructo

I recently read the book by Victoria Beckham “That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between“, It’s a great book on style and fashion. All of my girlfriends borrow this book when they come over but always say “I could never afford to live that way”. Love her or hate her, You all can live the Beckham lifestyle on an unemployment budget. Impossible you say? Remember, nothing is impossible… let “Goth Spice” let you into a few secrets of living a high end lifestyle on a small budget.

For once, don’t look into our eyes.

Again, I have to disappoint you all… this post isn’t about nudity. It’s about ribbons.

These ain’t your mama’s ribbons, prize ribbons by Renegade Fashion designer Jared Gold and the king of cool Clint Catalyst that make your clothes background noise and you the winner of any situation.

Tempting you into sin are four designs modeled by the likes of my favorite NCIS darling Pauley Perrette and fellow blue-haired media maven Zoetica Ebb.
